Went down to Mexico for a quick trip to learn a bit about the non-profit organization Urban Surf 4 Kids and to bring the spirit of skateboarding to orphans. It was definitely an eye-opener. Skateboards are so disposable to me - I get them for free, I wreck them, I give them away and I’m onto the next one. The look in these children’s eyes when we brought out skateboards for them was something I will never forget. Some of them told us they had been dreaming of the day they would be so lucky to ride a skateboard. I have so many resources in skateboarding, I’m kicking myself for not doing something selfless like this sooner. I can’t wait to do more.
